“Shop Around the World in One Day”

Budapest, Hungary, 28 October 2024

The traditional Diplomatic Charity Fair, organised annually by The Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB), is back this year for another memorable day of shopping, culture and charity.

Set to take place on Sunday, 24 November 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., this year the Fair will be held once again at Bálna National Defence Center Budapest, located at 1093 Budapest, Fővám tér 11-12.

Mrs. Szilvia Szijjártó-Nagy, Spouse of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as the patron of the Fair, will grace the event with her presence along with representatives from several embassies and other VIP guests to support the event’s mission.

The 13th edition of this amazing event brings together embassies accredited to Hungary, representing their respective countries from all over the world and Hungarian people. It is a wonderful occasion where diverse cultures embrace one another, offering attendees a unique opportunity to shop for traditional products, handicrafts, souvenirs and exclusive items from various nations – all in one vibrant marketplace.

Guests will also have the chance to indulge in authentic international cuisines at the Food Corner.

This year again the Fair will feature a special Children’s Corner, a dedicated space where kids can play, learn and explore diverse cultures through games and instructive activities.

In addition to shopping and dining, visitors and families will enjoy live cultural entertainment, including traditional music, dance performances, and art displays presented by participating embassies, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.

Exciting raffle draws will also be held, featuring substantial prizes to win, generously donated by embassies, individuals, businesses and companies.

As always, the Diplomatic Fair is dedicated to supporting Hungarian charities, children and vulnerable groups of the society. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the following Hungarian Charities:

1. Együtt az Autistákért: A foundation supporting initiatives that create a more livable and equitable world for individuals with autism, where people understand, accept, and support them in their everyday lives.

2. Fényszóró Kulturális Alapítvány: The foundation aims to enrich the cultural life of the intellectually disabled youth and to promote equal opportunities by fostering connections between individuals with disabilities and the broader community.

3. Six Children’s Homes, proposed by “Mohamanó” Élmény Műhely Alapítvány (“Mohamanó” Experience Workshop Foundation): The Foundation supports children living in children’s homes by enriching their daily lives with diverse experiential and educational programs. It also helps their integration into society, offering opportunities that help them find their place and thrive.

Join us for a memorable day of charitable giving and cultural celebration, making a difference in the lives of those in need across Hungary!
