The CDC has just published an interesting study looking at the last wave of infections of COVID-19 in USA during the summer of 2021, comparing unvaccinated people to vaccinated people.
Conclusions are as follows;
- The unvaccinated group had x 6 more cases of infections than the vaccinated group,
- The unvaccinated group had x 12 more mortality rates than the vaccinated group,
- fully vaccinated people aged 80 years or more had lower death rates than unvaccinated people under 50 years of age.
This study continues to prove that the 3 vaccines of J&J, Pfizer and Moderna substantially reduced the number of cases.
Also that the Moderna vaccine presented fewer new cases and lower mortality rates than the others, but these rates were closely followed by Pfizer and J&J.
