It is with great pleasure that we – on behalf of the Ambassadors of Japan, Argentina, and Chile serving in Hungary – express our sincere appreciation for the Winter Wonderland” Christmas Concert Show at the Budapest Operetta Theatre, featuring Jennifer Mága, which we had the honour to attend during the second week of Advent upon the kind invitation of Zoltán Mága, the world-famous violinist.

The evening was a truly unforgettable experience. The theatre was filled with festive spirit, and the setting and decorations were like a fairytale, capturing the magic of Christmas in every detail. Jennifer Mága delivered a beautiful and moving performance, joined by outstanding guest artists, with several memorable moments shared in duets and joint performances that made the program even more special.

We were also inspired by the remarkable musical legacy and generosity behind this event. Zoltán Mága is widely celebrated not only for his artistry, but also for his extraordinary commitment to giving back – with over 1,000 charity concerts that have brought hope and support to many. The Mága family’s musical tradition continues with the next generation as well, including Zoltán Mága Junior, who is pursuing his studies at The Juilliard School in New York.

Jennifer Mága, one of the promising young talents in Hungarian music, has been closely connected to music since early childhood. Her career has already brought numerous prestigious international successes: she has performed in some of the world’s most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, and has been greeted with standing ovations on Hungary’s greatest stages as well – the Hungarian State Opera House, the Budapest Congress Centre, and the Palace of Arts (MÜPA). Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with world-renowned artists such as the sixteen-time Grammy Award–winning pianist and producer David Foster, the internationally celebrated crossover star Mario Frangoulis, and the world-famous opera singer Aida Garifullina. She has also performed duets on several occasions with Sheléa Melody McDonald, protégée of the legendary 27-time Grammy Award–winner Quincy Jones.

Following the concert, the wonderful evening continued with a lavish reception in the theatre’s Grand Salon, offering a warm and elegant setting to meet and congratulate the artists and to enjoy the true spirit of the season.

We are grateful for the invitation and for this exceptional celebration of music, beauty, tradition and togetherness. Recognizing everyone who contributed to making it so memorable, and our sincere congratulations to Jennifer Mága and all the performers.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
