Two research studies published this week have examined and mapped the immune responses of 2 distinct groups of people in relation to COVID-19.

Study Group 1 – those who became infected with COVID-19 and were also vaccinated,

versus

Study Group 2 – those who were not infected with the virus but were vaccinated.

The conclusions for both groups are encouraging:

– for the 1st group results show that these people could be protected for a long time, it is even suggested for decades

– for the 2nd group results show that these people are protected for at least 1 year, and should therefore receive a booster after this period

Of course, not all vaccines offer the same levels of protection, so sectarian studies are now needed to yield further specific information.

However, it is clear from these studies that everyone should be vaccinated whether or not they have contracted COVID-19.

Stay safe!
