A study, published today in PubMed Magazine, examines the relationship between COVID-19 and Vitamin D. According to the results reported, Vitamin D deficiency has no significant link to the severity of COVID-19 cases or even to mortality rates.
It has also been proven that Vitamin D supplements do not significantly improve clinical outcomes in patients with COVID-19.
The conclusions, therefore, are that Vitamin D should not be used for prophylaxis or therapeutic treatment of patients with COVID-19.
Stay safe!
