To showcase the many attractive aspects of Thai culture, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest organised a cultural event at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence on 13 June 2024. Hosted by Mrs. Vanida Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, spouse of the Ambassador of Thailand to Hungary, the event aimed to present Thai soft power through a variety of engaging activities.
Attendees included members of the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB), spouses of ambassadors serving in Budapest, wives of executives from foreign companies in Hungary, and female officials from the Hungarian government.
The vibrant outdoor event featured a cooking demonstration and a workshop where participants learned to prepare Papaya Salad and Instant Noodle Spicy Salad. These dishes proved to be very popular, with attendees enthusiastically participating in the process and later enjoying the internationally renowned specialties from a beautifully decorated buffet table during lunch.
Traditional Thai dances were performed by dancers in exquisite costumes, adding to the entertainment.
A Thai massage session was also highly appreciated by the guests.
Amidst the delightful atmosphere, the invitees enjoyed flavourful Thai specialties, engaging friendly conversations, and socializing. They expressed their gratitude to Mrs. Vanida Bhaholpolbhayuhasena and her team for their warm hospitality, which truly elevated the afternoon. This event provided the participants with an excellent opportunity to experience Thai culture and cuisine up close, leaving a lasting impression.
On behalf of the Diplomatic Press Agency, congratulations on this wonderful event! Soft power plays a crucial role in enhancing a nation’s global image and fostering international cooperation. Thank you for inviting us to be part of such an exceptional experience.
